1. Don’t drive while rush hour
Your car needs huge amount of fuel while moving in first gear, so rather than accelerating and braking it’s better to not to move out of office/house in rush/jam time. If you do than you will save huge amount of fuel and save little money from you fuel expenses. If you have problem with those idea and you need you reach your office/home in time then you should buy hybrid car it will save hug amount of fuel than a normal can fit it back easily.
2. Remove the roof rack or ski box
Using your roof rack then not using it is the worse idea. If you are using it then it’s ok you are utilizing it but if you not using it then it’s better to remove it because it increases your drag and your car will take more fuel, empty roof rack carrying is just like carrying a another car in your roof. It is also easy to fir and remove, so remove it when you are not using it. If you need then you can fit it back easily.
3. Don’t carry unnecessary weight
Carrying unnecessary weight is like carrying unnecessary weigh in you solder, so as you need more energy/effort to carry it. Your car also use more fuel to carry unnecessary weigh. So check regularly if there are any unnecessary stuff inside your car so that will help to keep your car net and clean and more space and save more fuel.
4. Turn the air-conditioning off
Every driver let air-condition on without any reason but they don’t know that it’s consuming a lots of fuel so it’s better to keep it off. You should not worry about the temperature inside the car, but you can use when is important and again keep it off when it is not necessary so with the help of simple steps you can save hug amount of fuel through the year.
5. Strick to the speed limit
If you are thinking that speed driving will save you time/money then you are wrong you are saving non-of it. If you are driving at 80mph then 60mph then you are also may ignoring the law and breaking as well as fuel. It is totally wrong though that people keep that in mind that driving slow and driving fast take the same amount of fuel and save much time while travelling but that is so wrong. If your tier pressure is lower than it should be then your car will consume move fuel because it takes more effort to move down the road. So it’s better and very good habit to check you tier regularly. It will prevent you from many other disadvantage and gives you many advantages.
7. Don’t push the accelerator down too far
Many people confused on it that they think , if you are in high gear then you thing you are saving fuel but you should also should not push the accelerator down too far that mean you are not saving fuel, if you are not changing in lower gear then you are using more fuel nor less and you speed may can be over speed and cause accident so you should take of many thing while driving in the run of saving fuel you will save and prevent from many disadvantages so it’s good to run/follow fuel saving methods.
8. Accelerate smoothly
The best way to travel at were low risk and save fuel is to drive in the same speed like 50mph, so if you are patient driver, then you should pay low fuel bill, so insist of overtaking and over speeding it’s better to ride at safe and at same speed then you will prevent from many other disadvantages and save huge fuel bill.
9. Make fewer trips
If you notice your car will take a much more fuel when you engine is cold. So if you drive your car and parked some were for 2-3 hours when it will be cold and take more fuel for a mile. So it’s better to have a routine for you day before a drive but it is not possible for all having a work in many places and should go to different places.
10. Close the windows
If you are driving for a long distance or having a long drive then you should know about this. You vehicle is design in aerodynamics and it will try to reduce lots of draft and make your car easier to move very smoothly. It better to close your windows close so it will reduce the effort to the car and smooth to travel if you feel hot inside the car then you can turn on the air-condition .
